2020 Virtual Awards Banquet

We hope you had an opportunity to visit facebook and watch each of the videos for the first ever virtual awards banquet.

Day 1 of our 2019-2020 End of Season Virtual Event focuses on the memory of our friend and alumni Chad Staley, who left us too soon back in March.

Day 2 of our 2019-20 End of Season Awards virtual event! Hear from Coach Largen, UAF Chancellor Dan White, Vice Chancellor Dr. Keith Champagne, and our Pump House Team Player Award winner.

Day 3 with the presentation of the Fans Choice Award, the Rick Pitta Most Dedicated Player Award, and the Shawn Chambers Defenseman of the Year.

Day 4! Hear from Adam Powell presenting the Dean Fedorchuk Most Improved Player, as well as senior speeches from Colton Leiter and @Logan Coomes.

Day 5 of our Awards virtual event. Tonight, we’ll hear from Dr. Amy Cooper to present the award to our Dirk Anderson Scholar Athlete, and from Don Jamieson to present the Don Jamieson Unsung Hero Award.

DAY 6 of our end of season hockey awards event! Such a great success so far – thanks to everyone for helping make this a reality for us.

WCHA Release | 2019-20 WCHA Composite Schedule | Alaska Hockey 2019-20 Schedule

FAIRBANKS, Alaska – 
In accordance with the Western Collegiate Hockey Association, head coach Erik Largen has announced the 2019-20 schedule for the Alaska Nanooks hockey team on Wednesday. The season features a trip to Penn State University for the first time in program history, two non-conference home series against NCAA tournament qualifiers and 28 conference matchups.

CANCELED: 5th Anniversary of the Locker Room!

And we’re celebrating with tours and an open house!

Join the Face-Off Club and the Alaska Nanooks hockey team as we celebrate the 5th anniversary of our locker room. You’ll meet some players, tour of the locker rooms, and enjoy punch and cookies!

Everyone is welcome to this free event!

Tours will depart every 10-ish minutes and/or when there is a small group. You’ll visit the film room where a coach and the Face-Off Club will say a few words and then a player will take you to the history hallway, the equipment room, the training room, the locker room & finally convene in the player’s lounge for punch and cookies!

Kids can enter in a raffle for a cool prize!
